The church was one of very few built during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I and was consecrated in 1580. The tower is assumed to date from 1793 and contains two bells, possibly taken from Marrick at the dissolution of the monastries.

Parking: there is a public pay-and-display car park around 300 yards from the venue. Please park with consideration for local residents.
Accessibility: the church is wheelchair accessible but situated on a short, steep hill. Audience members with accessibility needs will need to be dropped off and vehicles parked elsewhere. Please call our office in advance on 01748 880018 so we can assist you. An accessible toilet is situated opposite The Farmers Arms (small fee applies).
