6-mile tour of Heggs Farm exploring renaturing initiatives
Venue: Meet at east side of Reeth Bridge
A 6-mile walk led by Liz Sutcliffe of Heggs Farm looking at flood management, tree-planting, bird life, ancient trees and returning wildlife. The walk starts at Arkle Beck, ascends steeply to Fremington Edge, and goes on to Castle Farm on tracks and footpaths. Dogs on leads are welcome. Adult £10; Under 25 £3
Places are limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place. You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate.
