A walk along the Swale exploring issues of river health

Meet at The Fosse Car Park, Richmond
A circular 4-mile walk led by Brian Benson from Save Our Swale, a volunteer group formed in 2023 to monitor water quality and invertebrate health. There will be several stops to discuss issues of pollution, Richmond’s rich history, and the town’s relationship with the river. The walk will go via Easby Abbey, following established tracks and passing through woodland and pasture. Dogs on leads are welcome. There is no lunch stop on this walk.
Adult £10; Under 25 £3
Places are limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place. You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate.
