Picturesque 8-mile circular led by Yorkshire Dales River Trust
Venue: Meet at Swaledale Festival Car Park by Grinton Bridge
An 8-mile walk led by Catherine Mason of the Yorkshire Dales River Trust, looking at the flora and fauna of rivers. The picturesque circular walk will include Marrick Priory, pastureland, moorland, woodland and spectacular views of Swaledale from Fremington Edge. There will be some steep descents, a gentle climb, paths and quiet road walking. No dogs please. Adult £10; Under 25 £3
Places are limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place. You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate.
