Celebrated artists play Ravel, Schubert, and Caroline Shaw

Our French strand continues with this celebrated ensemble playing Ravel’s translucent Quartet, a true masterpiece. It is beautifully paired with Schubert’s melodious 10th Quartet in E flat and Caroline Shaw’s wonderful Entr’acte, in which we find “subtle glimpses of classical and baroque music that has suddenly found itself in the wrong century” (Timothy Judd).
