At the remote village of Keld there’ll be an opportunity to visit the Old School Living Heritage Centre which tells the story of Upper Swaledale life. The return to Muker will be via the coast-to-coast path, passing Beldi Hill lead mines, the ruins of Crackpot Hall and some wildflower meadows. Dogs on leads are welcome.

Places are limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place. You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate.
