Wonderful views, local flora and a wildlife reserve
Venue: Meet at the layby next to road bridge spanning River Ure, Wensley
A moderate 4-mile walk with wonderful views, led by Chris Meek and members of the Yoredale Natural History Society. There will be a focus on local flora and any birds and butterflies that may be encountered on the way. A Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reserve and a riverside path will be explored. The terrain might be muddy and uneven with stiles and field gates. No dogs please.

Places are limited so please book in advance. If a walk is sold out, you can call our office to add your name to the waiting list. Please let us know as early as possible if you are not going to use your walk ticket; we can’t offer refunds but someone else may be able to take your place. You’ll need sturdy boots, waterproofs and a hat. For the longer walks bring lunch and water. Coins for ticket machines may be needed. Published durations are approximate.
