The Festival has started a joyous partnership between Richmond School and Bammental Grammar School in southern Germany.

After seventeen wonderful years, Swaledale Festival’s Artistic Director Malcolm Creese is moving on to pastures new.

Over a packed fortnight in late May and early June, Swaledale Festival burst over the northern Dales, filling its chapels, churches and halls with exquisite classical, folk, world and jazz music, as well as film, theatre, comedy, talks and participatory workshops.

The meadows are bursting into flower and Swaledale Festival is ready to spring into action.
