A huge thank you to everyone who took part in the Festival’s recent community consultation. Your responses were much appreciated and will inform future Festivals. Many local residents told us how much they love folk music. The good news is that this year’s programme includes SIX fabulous folk sessions that will get your feet tapping. The Jeremiahs

Great songs with poignant lyrics and masterful guitar, fiddle and flute playing from this award-winning Irish folk supergroup.

Saturday 1 June 16:00 - Reeth Congregational Church

A gifted young fiddle and guitar duo perform world class folk songs rooted in the traditional music of Quebec. Powerful and dark meets fresh and fun.
 
Will Pound & Delia Stevens - Ascending: Holst & Vaughan Williams Reimagined
Monday 3 June 16:00 - Gunnerside Methodist Chapel

This delightful duo come to the Festival to charm us with their pairing of harmonica and percussion, letting their imaginations run riot whilst paying homage to ‘classical’ and ‘folk’ music respectively. The programme will include their interpretation of The Lark Ascending by Vaughan Williams, selections from Holst’s Planets Suite…and some surprises!
 
The Carrivick Sisters
Friday 7 June 14:00 – Holy Trinity Church, Low Row

Multi-award-winning twins Laura and Charlotte Carrivick perform original songs and instrumentals, along with a few carefully chosen covers, on guitar, mandolin, fiddle, dobro and clawhammer banjo. They mix compelling American bluegrass with evocative songs based on legends and folklore from their native South Devon.

The Young’uns Singing Workshop
Saturday 8 June 14:00 to 17:00 - The Garden Rooms at Tennants, Leyburn

The North-East super-trio returns to the Festival to lead a fun and informal folksinging workshop for singers of all styles and abilities. Previous participants have been wowed by their effortless combination of wit and musicality. The room will be rocking. Come and experience it for yourselves!
 
The Young’uns in Concert
Saturday 8 June 19:30 - The Garden Rooms at Tennants, Leyburn

The famous Teesside folk trio will capture your heart with their close harmony singing, heart-on-sleeve storytelling, and infectious banter. Don’t miss this flagship evening concert on the Festival’s final day.
