Swaledale Festival is committed to removing barriers for festival-goers, regardless of disability.
The Festival takes place in a diverse range of venues, many of which are historic churches or chapels and some of which are listed. We recognise the accessibility barriers these buildings can pose, and do our best to ensure that they are accessible and welcoming to all.

Wheelchair or Mobility Access
If you have specific needs, and particularly if you use a wheelchair or have a companion dog, please make us aware at the time of booking and we will reserve a wheelchair or accessible seat for you alongside your companion/s. For blue badge holders, our events team can advise on parking and assist with drop-offs.
Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The following venues are fitted with hearing loops:

Blind or Visually Impaired
We can send you the programme in Microsoft word format, which can be enlarged, and is more easily read by text to speech software. We are also happy to make bookings on your behalf, simply contact us on the details above. We welcome companion dogs.
Comps for Carers
Any ticket holder requiring personal assistance is entitled to one complimentary ticket for their companion, helper or carer. Contact us using the details above and we will arrange your booking.
Neurodivergent Visitors
Please let us know if you'd like to avoid queuing, we can reserve a seat to suit you in the venue. If there is anything else we can do to improve your visit, please let us know.
