Event Programme

Arch Sinfonia plays Wagner & Bruckner

Event No: 21

Wednesday 31 May, 19.30 - Symphonic masterpieces played by a fine London-based chamber orchestra

Venue: St. Oswald's Church, Askrigg

This special concert offers an opportunity to hear some glorious music which would usually be played by a very large symphony orchestra. French horn player Mark Smith joins a superb 13-piece professional chamber orchestra in Wagner's original scoring of his beautiful tone poem Siegried Idyll, and the first performance of Smith's own chamber orchestra arrangement of Bruckner's lyrical 7th Symphony. The programme is completed by a quintet version of Richard Strauss's evocative tone poem Till Eulenspiegel.

Directed by the orchestra's conductor and founder, Chloé van Soeterstede.

Adult £16, under 25 £3.

This concert has been made possible through the generosity of The Fenton Arts Trust.
